The Editorial Director will be responsible for overseeing the editorial vision, strategy, and content development of Loop Magazine. This role requires a creative thinker with a deep understanding of luxury culture, nightlife trends, and a passion for storytelling. The ideal candidate will lead a talented team of writers, photographers, and designers to produce captivating content that resonates with our affluent readership.
Responsibilities:
- Content Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive editorial strategy that aligns with the magazine’s brand identity and business goals.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the editorial team, providing guidance, feedback, and support to ensure high-quality content production.
- Editorial Oversight: Oversee all editorial content, including articles, features, interviews, and photo/video shoots, ensuring accuracy, relevance, and adherence to the magazine’s standards.
- Trend Analysis: Stay informed about the latest trends in luxury nightlife, fashion, and lifestyle to ensure the magazine remains at the forefront of the industry.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing, design, and digital teams to create cohesive campaigns and enhance the magazine’s reach across various platforms.
- Networking: Build and maintain relationships with industry influencers, luxury brands, and event organizers to secure exclusive content and partnerships.
- Budget Management: Manage the editorial budget, including freelance contributions and production costs, ensuring effective allocation of resources.
- Performance Metrics: Analyze readership data and feedback to assess content performance and make data-driven decisions for future issues.
What you’ll bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 4 years of editorial experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role, preferably within the luxury or lifestyle sectors.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong understanding of luxury branding and marketing principles.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and lead a team.
- Familiarity with digital publishing platforms and social media trends.
